£50.00

Limited edition Lorna Bailey Old Ellgreave Pottery ‘Sunset’ conical sugar shaker made exclusively for the Collectors Club. Signed and stamped on base. This was only available for a six month period between March and August 1999.

Lorna Bailey Artware has often been described as the new Clarice Cliff. She produced collectable pottery pieces for over twenty years from 1995 with many early designs incorporating a series of cottages, trees and abstract patterns based on the designs of Clarice Cliff.

Taking inspiration from the Art Deco period, her works range from vases, jugs and sugar shakers to figures and decorative animals.  Two of the most popular patterns are House and Path and Sunburst which were painted by Lorna Bailey and a small team of painters onto a range of shapes, including vases, jugs, teapots, sugar shakers, cruets, candlesticks, and wall pockets. Bailey is arguably most famous for her range of cat designs.
